Light is my language

The theme of the Carl Zeiss Photo Contest 2010 was “Light is my language”. Photographers from around the world were invited to submit their pictures and show how they interpret the play of light and shadow. Just how diverse the expressive forms of light can be was evident in the numerous creative entries. For the first time, the contest was held on Flickr, the global online photography platform and the community picked the winners from the 10 images nominated by the Carl Zeiss jury.
